Graduate Nurse Program

Stawell Regional Health offers an exciting Graduate Nurse Program, (GNP). GNP assists new graduates to consolidate their clinical skills and increase their understanding and confidence in their professional role of a newly graduated nurse.

The GNP course is held over 12 months and participants are provided with full time professional, theoretical and clinical support by two experienced nursing staff, an Education Manager and Clinical Support Nurse Educator.

Participants have an opportunity to rotate through a wide range of services including acute medical and surgical areas, aged care, district nursing / ‘Hospital in the Home’, accident and emergency, midwifery, day chemotherapy and pre-admission clinic. The surgical component includes Ear, Nose and Throat, dental, general / emergency, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedic, urology and endoscopic surgery.

Consideration will be give to applications for specialist years such as Peri-operative or Community Graduate Nurse Programs.

Application process:-

  • A certified copy of each page of your placement notes is not required. Please include a certified copy of the first page of each stapled section.
  • Please do not copy the entire work-book, we require all results (including academic transcripts), comments, assessments and summaries.
  • Double sided copying would be preferred
  • Include a current resume and a cover letter.
